[29 September 2008, Durban] It is rare for a property development to be consistently acknowledged as one of the world’s best, but the North Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal has one such shining example - Zimbali Coastal Resort. For the 3rd consecutive year, Zimbali has been saluted at the CNBC Property Awards, Europe and Africa, for the exceptional 5-star residential and resort based lifestyle it provides. In addition, Zimbali was celebrated on a global level for having reached the very pinnacle of innovation in property marketing.

The glittering gala awards dinner was held at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London on Saturday night. It was here that Zimbali garnered numerous top accolades for the North Coast’s ‘Jewel’. In total Zimbali was feted with two five star awards, these being in the categories of BEST PROPERTY MARKETING, SOUTH AFRICA and BEST GOLF DEVELOPMENT, SOUTH AFRICA and to add to this phenomenal achievement, Zimbali was awarded with three four star awards in the categories of BEST DEVELOPMENT, SOUTH AFRICA, BEST ARCHITECTURE, SINGLE UNIT, SOUTH AFRICA for the magnificent ‘Monk’s Manor’ [10 Lakewood Drive, Zimbali] and BEST DEVELOPER WEBSITE, SOUTH AFRICA.

To add to this string of illustrious achievements, Zimbali has been nominated for the third consecutive year in the category of BEST INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MARKETING, WORLDWIDE. In addition, Zimbali was the only South African company to receive an award at this level.

Many International Property Awards winners have proved to be a source of inspiration in terms of marketing and quality for developments and Zimbali has spearheaded this trend as a property innovator on a global scale.

The first-class reputation of the resort is to be further enhanced by the introduction of the Zimbali Lakes Resort, which will deliver an additional 300 hectares of mixed use residential property onto the market, as well as the R1, 8 billion Fairmont Zimbali Hotel & Resort. These new offerings are coupled with the only internationally branded and most exclusive Private Residence Club in South Africa, the Fairmont Heritage Place, Zimbali.
