Hole 1

A gentle starting hole on one of the highest parts of the course; great view, plenty of wind. Stay well to the right of the tee, with
the approach to the green also favouring the right hand side.

Hole 2

Depending on the pin position, a tee shot centre right of the fairway is the best option. A generous opening to the green allows for
a run up shot, and often, even if the pin is placed in a tight position, an approach to the centre of the green is best.

Hole 3

With the wind the hole is easily reached in two. Against however, wetlands to the right of the lay up area must be avoided. The
bunker provides a line to avoid trouble. Be aggressive rather than short into the green as there is no trouble behind.

Hole 4

Even with a good tee shot over the wetlands, you are still left with a testing approach to the green. Players can play left off the tee
to avoid the long carry, offering a safer if longer route in.

Hole 5

Although it appears long it is much shorter because of the steep downhill. Most of the danger is on the left of the green.

Hole 6

Stay well left with the tee shot and then another favouring the left side of the green. Subtle slopes on and around the green, in addition to the bunkers around, make for some interesting situations if the target is missed.

Hole 7

One of the toughest par fours, particularly if played into the wind. The tee shot is played into the wind. The tee shot should favour the left hand side of the fairway. The approach shot must also be played to the left, regardless of pin position, as the green slopes severely from left to right.

Hole 8

Depending on the wind this may not be a driving hole. The bunker on the right side of the fairway is a directional aid. The approach
to the large relatively flat green is straight forward although the pin position can influence club selection by as much as three irons.

Hole 9

A classic long par 3 on exposed high ground, normally played in a cross wind. No trouble short of the green for the higher
handicapper.

Hole 10

Bunkers on the left with water on the right. A long iron off the tee leaves a short iron in. A middle of the green may be the safest route.

Hole 11

With water guarding against anything left and short, the safest line is to the right side of the green. Due to the elevation, club selection can be tricky.

Hole 12

Here the character of the course completely changes. With the fairway sloping from the right and a thick stand of gums on the left, the right side of the fairway is essential. This opens up the second shot, with the third uphill to a well guarded green.

Hole 13

A spectacular view from the tee. Although the forest seems to be waiting for any errant shot there is plenty of margin for error. Players should favour the left side of the fairway and beware a green that is particularly difficult to hold.

Hole 14

Over club and a tough shot from the bunkers awaits. Despite the stream at the front, there is plenty of room for a shot coming up short. Although the tee is protected from the wind, the green is not, so check the flag before playing.

Hole 15

Possibly the hardest hole on the course. The drive should be left of centre, but if played downwind, there is a risk of running out of fairway. A long second shot to a green sloping left to right, has little margin for error.

Hole 16

With subtle bunkering and a dogleg left, the elevated green is best approached from the right side. A solid tee shot will leave a short iron approach.

Hole 17

The shortest par 5 on the course. Drive to the left of the bunker, due to a second one beyond it, hidden from the tee. Favour the right for the second shot whether going for the green or laying up.

Hole 18

Thick bush and a string of bunkers down the left side. Drive as far left as your length allows, although the right side is safer, if longer. The approach should also favour the right side of the green.
